Trinity term is progressing well and been busy completing my latest module. Trinity is also known for hosting a variety of university balls and black tie functions throughout the term. I had the opportunity to attend three in the last couple of weeks at Linacre College, St Hilda’s College and the Oxford Union. Each ball and black tie event has a central theme and formalities that go along with the evening. For example, the St Hilda’s College Ball commemorated the 500th anniversary of Sir Thomas More’s Utopia. The ball brought to life a series of visions that draw upon utopian visions of the past, present and future. It was a splendid evening that I was fortunate to enjoy with my friends.
